As a founding member of the Independent Business Forms Dealers of America, which later became the Print Services and Distribution Association, Royal S. (Scud) Flesh saw the value in being part of an organization that supported its membership through education, information, networking events, and other resources.
The members of Strategic Print Alliance want to honor Mr. Flesh’s memory in a lasting and meaningful way in appreciation for his contributions to them personally, and to the industry. To that end, Strategic Print Alliance will fund the first years’ membership dues in PSDA for a non-member distributor each year, beginning in 2010.

Print Solutions Magazine announced winners of the 6th Annual Print Excellence and Knowledge (PEAK) Awards on April 7th. The members of Strategic Print Alliance garnered 9 awards in 6 categories, making SPA the most honored organization in this year’s awards.
This year the contest attracted more than 236 entries from around the world. “These awards demonstrate the commitment of our members to our distributor/partners and our willingness to be innovative in our approach. We’re honored to be recognized”, said David Batson, Executive Director of SPA.
The official presentation will be made at the Print Solutions Conference and Expo in Baltimore on May 24.

Strategic Print Alliance has announced a new, multi-year supplier agreement with Appleton Papers, the world's leading producer of carbonless paper. This agreement positions Appleton to be the primary supplier of carbonless and security products and value-added services to the members of SPA. The members of Strategic Print Alliance (SPA) have elected Dan Adkison, President & COO of Wright Enterprises, to a two-year term as the group’s President.
Adkison is a seasoned veteran of the print and graphic arts industry with 26 years of experience in sales, sales management and general management. “We are fortunate to have someone with Dan’s talent, vision and leadership skills at the helm as we continue with an ambitious organizational transformation,” said David Batson, Strategic Print Alliance’s Executive Director.

David began his career with Moore Business Forms in 1978. He joined OEI Business Products in 1986. David held the position of V.P. of Sales when acquired by Workflow in 2002. Most recently, David was V.P. of Strategic Sourcing and after the acquisition of Relizon was responsible for the combined Certified Trade Partner Programs for WorkflowOne.
